How to check Akapulu synthetic audio and video
Clips we generate carry machine-readable provenance. Audio files are signed with C2PA. Video files carry an invisible VideoSeal watermark plus C2PA. This page is the public trust anchor for the C2PA signature. Overlay labels on the video are separate and optional; details are in AI content disclosure.
What we always apply
These marks are on every take. They cannot be turned off.
- VideoSeal — invisible watermark in the generated video pixels
- C2PA Content Credentials — signed provenance attached to the audio file and the video file
The VideoSeal payload is 0x414C (ASCII
AL, Akapulu Labs). That watermark stays in the picture if
someone copies the file without the C2PA box. Audio provenance is the
C2PA signature on the wav.
C2PA root certificate
Generated audio and video are signed with an Akapulu Labs ES256
certificate. C2PA uses intent CREATE and digital source
type trainedAlgorithmicMedia.
Download the PEM and pass it to your C2PA reader as a
user trust anchor. Default tools (Photoshop, stock
c2patool) do not ship this CA, so they will say
signingCredential.untrusted until you add it. The signature
still proves the bytes were not edited after we signed them.

Algorithm: ES256. Valid through 2036.
VideoSeal payload
Rendered video gets a 16-bit payload in the pixels. That mark lives in the picture, so it can survive copies that strip the C2PA chunk.
